I am currently offering pre-recorded classes via the Contemporary School of Yoga online platform.
For a membership fee of £9/ month you will receive at least 2 extra classes each month to practice at your own convenience. You will also gain access to an entire library of past months classes to watch as many times as you like as long as you have an active membership. In the library you will find a wide selection of yoga, movement and relaxation classes to give you a choice and honour your needs, on any given day.
Richard has trained and teaches many styles of yoga and movement including; hatha, vinyasa, restorative, yin, somatic, fascia fitness, and yoga therapy. He blends them all together in his classes to suit everybody’s needs and requirements. Because of this it’s hard to define as one particular yoga style or brand, but it could be considered a ‘fusion’ or ‘best of’.
His classes usually work with a particular theme or focus, such as a specific area of the body (For example – lower back, hips or breath) , or it could be a philosophical theme (for example – stress, acceptance or transition). The classes are fun and creative and he’s brilliant at explaining some of the more complex body theories in a simple and understandable way.
All Classes will emphasise personal exploration, working at your own pace and with your own physical restrictions. You are encouraged to find a balance between effort and ease, using the breath as a tool to assist. Most classes will incorporate relaxation, breath work and a more dynamic physical vinyasa practice (flowing sequence of postures) and should be suitable for all levels of experience.
Yoga can help with so many symptoms of our lives today including: managing stress and anxiety, lowering blood pressure and cholesterol levels, preventing arthritis, relieving back pain, aiding better posture and a general calmer more balanced outlook on life.
The most important thing is finding some much-needed valuable time for yourself, reconnecting to who you are, enjoying the rewards of learning, moving and feeling. Exploring the connection between your body and mind, and experiencing the amazing benefits of yoga for yourself.
